The Environmental Appeal of Communicating Sustainability in the Meat Farming Industry

This study examines how locally sourced meat farms compare to large scale meat packing companies in advertisement of sustainability for their products. By examining social media platforms, YouTube and advertising, this study provides an understanding of what makes them sustainable and improves our ecological relationship with meat distribution. Framing theory addresses how media is presented to its respective audiences. This study will show how media coverage on sustainable farming is able to set a narrative in a way that appeals to, and influences its buyers.
